There are many little ways to enlarge a child's world.
Love of books is the best of all
~ Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
The Miriam Beza Memorial Foundation is convinced that youth are the backbone of a nation, and strongly believe that they should be supported and guided in the right knowledge by introducing them to books at an early age, and developing in them a love for reading. The Miriam Beza Memorial Foundation is confident that improving young people’s reading skills would improve their academic performance as well.
In 2007, as part of the ministry of Youth for Christ/Ethiopia, the Miriam Beza Memorial Library established in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The children's library is equipped with more than 20,000 books, games and puzzles and has become a place for fun, homework and reading. The library also provides students one meal daily.
The Miriam Beza Memorial Library still has much to accomplish. With your help, we can instill in children a love of reading and honor our precious Miriam’s life by giving to those who do not need much and are so grateful for the little they receive.
